Literal Death by Chocolate
is what they call this....

Grandma's Guaranteed Death By Chocolate Cupcakes

What you need:
12 Oreo cookies, unscrewed
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup hot water
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
3 sticks unsalted butter
2 1/4 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup heavy cream
8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon instant espresso powder
Toffee bits (optional)

What you do:
Preheat oven to 350. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. From the unscrewed Oreos, place one cream side of the cookie in each liner. You may either discard, devour, or crush up the remaining cookie halves. Combine the cocoa powder and hot water in one cup. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk it together to combine it. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the butter and sugar. Stir it together until is is completely melted.

Take the butter mixture off the heat and dump it in a bowl with an electric mixer. Beat it with the electric mixer for a few minutes until it is cooled. Add the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla. Add the chocolate mixture. Finally add the flour mixture in thirds, alternating with half of the sour cream. You should begin and end with the flour mixture. Once it is just combined, divide the batter amongst the liners using an ice cream scoop. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

Once the cupcakes are cooled move onto the glaze. Put the chocolate chips, cream and espresso powder in a microwave safe bowl. Heat it in the microwave for 15 second installments, stirring between each until it is fully combined, smooth and shiny. Dip the cupcakes in the glaze. If you wish, top with toffee bits or crumbs from the remaining Oreos. Then try out a cupcake version of Russian roulette and hope for the best.
